So Mad at Myself

Seriously. I feel like such an idiot. I can't know until I actually try it out, but I feel like I made a horrible mistake.
Walking home from work one day, i got caught (my first mistake) by a street promoter for a hair salon, offering "$400 worth of services for only $60 down plus $15 service charge".
Damn Elise, read the fine print FIRST, not AFTER.
I only had $30 on me at the time, but the promoter said "between you and me, I'll accept the 30 and give you the coupon"
Holy CRAP could it be any more obvious that this guy is NOT honest???
I'm not looking forward to finding out how much money I'm actually losing. *whacks head on keyboard* dsfghoisuhfsdufhiahrfgihrgf;iShddhnerbhyfgtftgjkouloukyiklouiy8ty6tygiy

Elise,
The old saying is “If it seems too good to be true, it isn’t true”. OK, you know that somewhere deep inside of yourself - instinctively.
It’s a learning experience. I will take it in prayer treatment for you, that it costs you no more or even better, that you get your money back - somehow.
Most likely
[a] The services are only worth about $75 and not $400
[b] It’s a total scam and there will be no services but no additional charges and you got the lesson at half price.
Hugs. It’s called going to the school of life.
Wishing always only “fair and honest” offers in the future.
Deb
Thank you Elise..
perhaps not a mis-take…: )
Can you see or feel any good in this event?
Who was the street promoter?
Was he dishonest?
Perhaps he was on commision and those dollars made the difference to his kids meals or shoes…Or his job…
Perhaps there are things that are good and true, it all depends on how we perceive them, it may well be a wonderful blessing lesson as Deb said so well you perhaps got a big discount, send a blessing and wait patiently for the Universe, it has many blessings to bring back…: )
Love
Ange..
I know how you feel (I think). I got “shanghaied” in China a while back by a guy who invited me out for tea in a city know for its unusual/exotic cuisine (the stuff people here make jokes about). Next thing you know, we were eating a meal together (I was happy that he was able to order for me…figured I wouldn’t get into any trouble).Sure enough, the “meal” turned out to be snake…and dog (I found this out after I’d finished eating–LOL). And then, when the bill came, he happened to not have enough money. He said he’d go home and get it and meet me later. I never saw him again.
At the time, I felt betrayed. But now, I laugh about it.I guess he was hungry and worked for his meal in a sense–lol. What happened to you does suck…definitely…but…now you’ll be a little more careful. The good news? You didn’t give him credit card/personal info!
been there done that – all you can do is put a hold on the check or close the account.
